Parade # 1~

Our Design Team had another all day event on Saturday! We had two parades to be in! This fist one was held in Springville. It had been raining all night but by the time of the parade it was beautiful weather! Our job in the parades was to pass out coupons for free Paul Mitchell shampoo and also do quick updo styles. The little girls loved it! We were all covered in sweat by the end of the parade though! Definitely got a good work out in!
This is Judy our DT leader, she's 50 and honestly don't know where she gets all her energy. She's like this 24-7. I've never seen her not act crazy! While waiting for the parade to start she'd go ask all the cute boys around us if they were single and then bring them over to us trying to set all the single ladies up! She definitely makes all these all day events fun!

Amber and I on the front of a golf cart. We'd gone with Judy and Rosanne to park her car at the end of the parade so we didn't have to walk back. We had about a 7 block walk back to where we were supposed to start. Judy spotted Ronald and asked if we could get a ride. There were seven of us on the golf cart! Amber and I thought Ronald was a pot head with his blood shot eyes!

Parade # 2~

Orem City Days parade. The DT met again at 6:30 for our night parade. We were a little nervous of all the dark clouds in the background but the rain didn't start till about the last block of the parade.(You can even see the double rainbow in the group picture) We passed out glow sticks at this one and I've never seen so many little kids and moms chase after someone! Moms were yelling at us to please give their child one! Crazy parade parents! We also did quick updo's on girls and mowhawks on guys! We had to have the updo done within 30 seconds to a minute or we'd be left behind and running up to our float! Such a long but fun day!

This is Cros, Rosanne, Amber and I right before the parade. Crosby is the daughter of the Philadelphia Eagles head football coach. She's quite the character!

Friday Date Night!

Last night Kara, Devin, Jeff (Devin's brother who recently just got off his mission) and I went on a double date! Had such a fun time with them all, they're all so down to earth! We ate at a gourmet pizza restaurant. All the ingredients are so fresh that they close from 3-5 to go to a local farm and pick fresh vegetables. The crust was so thin it was almost like a chip, but very delicious and healthy!(Not dripping with grease!) After, we drove to Amigo Taco down the road and drank up their fresh strawberry shakes which are seasonal!
We did a lot of random things after, but that's what made it so much fun! (Jumped on the trampoline for an hour, played the Wii, all tried to bench our max, played guitar, learned how to clip into a cycling bike, sat around and chatted!)
Thanks Gagon's for the fun night!~

This is Kara getting a little silly the later the night went on!( I can't say too much though because I was right by her side being just as crazy!)

~Princess Party~

Recently I tried out for the design team at our school. Design team goes around to different events and helps out and tries getting the Paul Mitchell name out. We had an all day even on Wednesday starting at 7:45-4:30 doing Princess hair for all the little girls that came to this Royal event. It was held in Lindon, a grandpa had built this huge park for his granddaughters consisting of so many things from princess stories(a castle, snow whites house, Cinderella's ball room etc...everything you can think of pretty much) He has 40 grandchildren and 35 of them being girls! Lucky girls I'd say! It was a overcast day, so a bit chilly. All of us thought we were going to be inside doing hair but we were out in a parking lot! Kelly, the design team captain, had brought a trunk full of dresses for anyone that needed a dress. I ended up wearing one of her poofy ones with the black t-shirt I was already wearing underneath, I know a little tacky, but I love poofy dresses so it was well worth looking silly for!(At least I was being modest too...right;)) A lot of random pictures I put on but I think we had more fun than all the little girls did!

Some girls made a quick run for some hot chocolate because it was so chilly!

Amber was entertaining us all trying to fit in the toy car! She fit though!

This is how cold it was in the afternoon, it started pouring rain for a bit. I still get chilled thinking about it!!

JUdy,our design team leader, brought all these bubbles for us to play with. It lured a few little girls into getting their hair done!
